Our Teams
There’s plenty of opportunity for whatever level of involvement works for you!
We have various teams in which you can take immediate action right away, or sit back and learn more about the area you’re interested in.
You can volunteer to get involved full-time with an action committee tackling issues such as housing, immigration or LGBTQIA+ rights, or show up for an hour on a weekend to lend a physical hand. You set your hours and level of commitment. We are just happy to have your help no matter the level of activity! Every little bit helps!

Housing Team
The ALOE Housing Team works in partnership with Valley Interfaith Project (VIP) to address housing issues affecting our communities, including affordable housing and transitional housing. We collaborate with community partners, engage residents, and work with city councils and other local leaders to identify needs, advocate for solutions, and support efforts that increase housing opportunities for individuals and families.
Volunteering Team
The ALOE Volunteer Team connects community members with meaningful opportunities to serve others. Our team has partnered with organizations such as Andre House to serve meals to individuals experiencing homelessness, worked with local churches to prepare and distribute meals for those facing food insecurity, and helped deliver meals to individuals and families in need. We continue to explore new ways to support our community through hands-on service, partnership, and outreach.
Immigration Team
The ALOE Immigration Team is focused on supporting immigrant individuals and families by identifying community needs, building relationships with local partners, and advocating for policies and resources that promote opportunity, inclusion, and stability. The team is currently being developed, and we are looking for a passionate Team Leader to help shape its direction, build community engagement, and guide future initiatives. If you are interested in helping lead this work, we would love to hear from you.
Education Team
The ALOE Education Team is currently being developed and focuses on supporting high-quality, fact-based education for all students. The team works to stay informed about local education issues, promote transparency and accountability in school leadership, and encourage community engagement in decisions that affect our schools. Through research, advocacy, and collaboration with educators, parents, and community members, we aim to help ensure students receive a strong and balanced education.
LOOKING FOR TEAM LEADERS
Rapid Response Team
The ALOE Rapid Response Team provides flexible support when immediate action is needed. Team members assist with activities such as making phone calls for community campaigns, supporting volunteer projects, canvassing neighborhoods to share information, attending events, and helping with other short-term needs as they arise. This team is ideal for members who want to stay involved but may not be able to commit to a specific issue team year-round.
LGBTQIA+ Team
The ALOE LGBTQIA+ Team is currently being developed and will focus on identifying issues affecting LGBTQIA+ individuals and families, building community connections, and advocating for inclusion, equity, and access to resources. We are seeking a Team Leader to help shape the team's priorities, recruit members, and guide future initiatives. If you are passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and interested in helping build this team, we would love to have you involved.
Healthcare Team
The ALOE Healthcare Team is currently being developed and will focus on issues affecting access to quality, affordable healthcare in our communities. The team will work to identify community needs, build partnerships with healthcare organizations and advocates, and explore solutions that improve health outcomes and access to care. We are seeking a Team Leader to help establish the team's priorities, recruit members, and guide future initiatives. If you are passionate about healthcare issues and community advocacy, we encourage you to get involved.
Disability Team
The ALOE Disability Team is currently being developed and will focus on issues affecting individuals with disabilities, including accessibility, inclusion, advocacy, and access to resources and services. The team will work with community members, organizations, and local leaders to identify needs and promote solutions that help create a more accessible and equitable community for all. We are seeking a Team Leader to help shape the team's direction, recruit members, and guide future initiatives. If you are passionate about disability advocacy and inclusion, we encourage you to get involved.
Environmental Team
The ALOE Environmental Team is currently being developed and will focus on environmental issues that impact our communities, including sustainability, conservation, clean air and water, and responsible growth. The team will work to educate community members, build partnerships, and advocate for practical solutions that support a healthy environment for current and future generations. We are seeking a Team Leader to help establish the team's priorities, recruit members, and guide future initiatives. If you are passionate about environmental stewardship and community action, we encourage you to get involved.
